Large cost swings between Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and construction pricing can often compromise the viability of a capital project. Identifying and managing the cost risks such as volatility in material prices, supply chain delays, and skilled labor market availability will reduce unexpected delays in construction schedules and project cost challenges.

Our process to deliver cost certainty into the project planning requires all key stakeholders in a capital project, including Blast Builders, our project owners, engineers, and subcontractors to participate in a transparent methodology to ensure a high degree of cost predictability in the final construction delivery cost.

To build confidence in the team of the cost certainty of a project Blast Builders will identify the cost risks and work a mitigation plan to eliminate any impending cost deviations that could adversely impact the outcome of a project.

We will work with all the stake holders to:

Define the scope clearly and achieve alignment between all stakeholders. Reducing scope changes will provide the team with a clear path and more confidence in the project cost estimate.
Provide a collaborative approach with interpersonal stakeholder interactions early in the process with full transparency.
Work with the design team to produce construction documents that are clear and concise to the material suppliers and subcontractors providing the material and labor. We will work with the subcontractor community throughout the front-end planning, and detailed design phase to provide the most accurate pricing and bid possible.
